Crimson Rose
Puzzles of the Wandering Garden
I must have come to see whether the bright red roses were still in bloom. I walked in a zigzag through the circular flowerbed, now mostly empty. Though the path twisted and turned, it was familiar to me.
The few remaining plants tempted me to stray here and there, but I had no time for detours. Before all the roses withered, there was one place I absolutely had to reach. Chasing that blazing crimson, I pressed onward.
Puzzle:
How many roses were in bloom in the flower beds you passed through?
